Financial Literacy for Youth

Youth Financial literacy is an everyone issue! Come for an evening of inclusive and informative practices to help build your confidence in your finances. This approach is trauma informed and gets to the roots of financial habits, plans, and how to make the change in a safe space that is cultural responsive to support your lifestyle at any stage. You will explore wants versus needs and help develop a budget for a want or need during this presentation.

After you develop this budget, Lakeisha will offer two individual sessions to follow up on your success (30 to 45-minute meeting in community). The navigation service attached to the budget and plan is rare in today‚Äôs financial industry. By using strength based language, todays technical tools, and positive youth development Lakeisha aspires to motivate others to plan for success. The resources included in this course offer insurance resources, budget resources for all, and tools for a liberating financial future. When you practice the first layer of budgeting to save, you develop healthy habits for financial empowerment. Time to get lifted and feel FLY! Financially liberate yourself!
